Our Must-Do Indiana State Fair Activities

There are 6 days left at the Indiana State Fair and we’ve had fun exploring classic & new activities that help us better appreciate all our Indiana farmers! Here are our favorites:

GLASS BARN - NORTHEAST CORNER: interactive indoor space from @indianasoybeanalliance. Free Photo Booth, scavenger hunt (with a free trucker hat upon completion), live farmer chats, combine simulations, and hands-on grocery store games. Free to enter!

FFA PAVILION - NORTH STRAIGHT: Free putt putt, indoor playground, and interactive exhibits.

DNR FISHING POND - DNR COMPLEX NORTHWEST CORNER: Free fishing lesson in the DNR fishing pond. Each child has a 1 fish limit!

DAIRY BAR - SOUTH STRAIGHT: A staple with every visit. Highly recommend the blueberry milkshake!

ANIMAL FEEDINGS - NEAR DNR COMPLEX: Carrots, pellets, and milk bottles all available to feed the goats. $2 for carrots + pellets or 3 for $5.

LIVESTOCK BARNS - SOUTH STRAIGHT PAVILIONS: LVisit with the cows, pigs, and horses in the different livestock barns on the north end of the fair.

MHS FAMILY FUN PARK - NORTHEAST CORNER: Giant legos, sand table, mini basketball hoops, playgrounds, and more. This is a GREAT place to spend some time at the fair, all free.

SPLASH PAD - NORTHEAST CORNER: At the front of the Family Fun Park is the new splash pad. Bring towels and an extra change of clothes!

LITTLE HANDS ON THE FARM - NORTHEAST CORNER: Near the Family Fun Park, kiddos grab a basket and an apron and walk through different farm scenes collecting items along the way. They turn them in at the “Farmers Market” at the end in exchange for a “farm store dollar” where they can spend it on a snack or a drink. Free activity.

Here is a link to the State Fair Map! I recommend parking on the north side and entering in gate 12. Get your tickets online before you go!
